Exchange of the experience with other LIFE projects

From 1 – 9 June  a group of 20 employees and co-workers of the Club held a study visit in  3 UE countries implementing 4 LIFE projects – mainly on the protection of peatlands and other wetlands.

In Slovakia, we had the opportunity to see the object Belianskie Luki, Zahorie Lowland and reserves Sur and Abrod near Bratislava. In Austria, under the guidance of prof. Michael Steiner we visit “Saltzgammergut” and “St. Marghareten”. And in Italy objects Virco, Flambro and Danta di Cadore.

The trip was extremely informative and the gained knowledge and experience will help the project team, while data collected (during this and future study visits) will be used to develop the Handbook of Best Practices. In the nearest future detailed report of the trip will be published in the FILES tab.
